I am thinking 3GC
VSS took an exceptional photo of scribs, his has more but yours
hits on several of the same lines
I think you may be correct. There is a # shape in the upper part of the 3GC photo that looks close to this one.

The description says tail feathers but the gouge originates on wing or leg feathers?

1921-P VAM-3FD

I have been looking at a couple examples of 1921-P VAM-3FD. Although the description lists die file lines at "OF" and "Trust", my two examples show pretty typical feed-finger marks and no file lines. WIN_20200130_09_43_55_Pro.jpg The right wing also shows evidence of some pretty impressive die scrat...

Re: 1921-P VAM 1Q pix needed

I don't have one, but this is one of the scribbles varieties that I always pass by since there are no photos. The description of the die marker is not quite clear to me. I assume the "...second right tail feather between legs..." is the second upper tail feather (counting from the right to left) whi...

Re: 1921-P R value that's wildly too low

I didn't appreciate that the die sequence is 3B3 > 3B2 > 3B1. So presumably there could be an example of an earlier die state than 3B3, pre clash.

Re: 1921-P VAM-3ED1

Thanks for the feedback. The pattern also shows up in the relatively low parts of the devices (high part of die) like the eagle's right wing. WIN_20200125_09_51_41_Pro.jpg Much of the fields show this pattern: WIN_20200125_09_52_58_Pro.jpg Down by "ONE" there appears to be the beginning of flow line...

1921-P VAM-3ED1

Here is a very EDS of 21-P VAM-3ED1. The scribbles are quite dense but key points match those on the page. WIN_20200125_08_39_07_Pro.jpg There is a large additional scribble outboard of the right leg feathers, along with the smaller outboard scribble above. WIN_20200125_08_39_27_Pro.jpg The heavy li...

NOT 1AG......HMMMMM If the scribbles on the 1AG page are correct, jgrinz's example sure looks to be 1AG. There are several points of comparison: 1) The "V" to the left of the fifth UTF 2) The line from the top of the leg arcing down toward the lower third of the fifth UTF 3) The short thick line ar...

Try VAM-1I (eye).

1I has pitting around the L in DOLLAR, 1AE does not.

Re: 1921 P - No Idea of VAM - Needed Help I think I am getting distracted.

Try VAM-1AG. Your last photo of the scribbles area looks close. The squiggles on the arrowhead are another marker for the D1 reverse. It was the first of the VAMS I checked because of SEGS identification of a SO CALLED ZERBIE Let me look again … This coin though has ZERO die cracks Yours appears to...

Re: Morgan 1921-P VAM-3CV

Thanks. The lack of the polish line and the broken G certainly suggest this is mid to late in the die's life. Given the number of distinctive cracks I'm surprised there isn't an entry on the cracks page. I'd do one if I could draw! The one intersecting the date and the one from the neck point to the...

Morgan 1921-P VAM-3CV

I came across this Morgan 1921-P (D2 Reverse) the other day and had a bit of trouble doing the attribution. It had fairly distinctive cracks but nothing matched on the cracks page. It had good scribbles, but I had to go through the scribbles page a couple of times to finally nail it down. It should ...

Re: VamWorld in E-Bay Listing

Just a reminder that this was an active auction at the time this was being posted here, and while I seriously doubt doing so influenced the outcome of the auction, the policy here is to only post active auctions on the BST board. Regarding the use of VAMWorld in the auction in the form of screensho...

Re: Back from LVA - a 21P kill, 21P reassign, and 83P revision

New page added, revisions made and eliminations completed. Thank you, but one adjustment to suggest. I see that 21P VAM 11 (eleven) has been marked as eliminated, when it should be VAM 1i (one eye) that is now eliminated and designated 1AE2. Thanks to anyone who can correct this! Just found a 21P V...

Re: 1921-P D1 scribbles help needed

WIN_20191216_09_08_04_Pro.jpg And the one above the berry on the right wreath. WIN_20191216_09_09_53_Pro.jpg I don't recall how I paired thes...
