What am I???
OLD, that's what you are!
As for the VAM, that's easy... it's obviously an LDS of the 1888-X VAM-XX.
See, I can keep a secret, even for you...
Well big mouth you stated XX, so now everyone knows its not a VAM 1-9.
It is an O mint.

Re: a SO unexpected opportunity

Yes my local dealer had the coin graded for me. If I had to guess I would say late 2004-very early 2005. I scanned it on my cheap scanner on 2-19-2005.

Re: a SO unexpected opportunity

Your welcome Dennis. Coin was raw when I first got it. Sent it in and had David Hall grade it. After PCGS offered buy back. I asked them how much if I send you the label? PCGS replied in a normal cheapskate RODENT price of fifty cents. I know what you paid for the coin. When I bought it, demand was ...

Re: Is there a vam world price Guide

As I have stated before. VAM collectors are the biggest bunch of cheapskates on the planet. I had a nice VAM in a PCGS holder, 1/3 of the last VAM price guide. I was asked by one person how much and I told them. Of course no sale occurred. VAMmers like to sale for the price guide but want to buy at ...

Re: Bessemer show

Since it was Raining inside, I laid off the VAM's. Did find a 1899 P Morgan in the melt bucket.
Did buy 59 Barber quarters that was in the melt bucket. Well over half was VG.
Several more semi-keys locally. Low grade but how else does a Barber come?

Looks like my wife's cooking.
Alas is not the rodent, but I always hope.
He does however have rat blood in him.
I hope this is not a selfie picture taken. If so you need more nail polish.

Re: Banished from the Top 100

PCGS would have to come off some serious money to get my four back. Not that chicken fee buy back program they had.
I think a few stories I read many moons ago ended with, "and they lived happy ever after".

Re: Lowball question

The PO1 1922 is what a lowballer wants. However 25 are graded for this coin. You have to find some one who needs it. The FR 2's will not bring much. If you break even on these your doing good. I just finished a lowball set and paid 17.00 for a 5.00 coin to be slabbed. Coin came back damaged. Helped ...

Re: ONE MIGHT CALL IT "SEMI/OT"

Well on Ebay, KEY date is used on everything. I could post my lowballs as Key DATE, HIGH GRADE, RARE. So for a raw 63, most sellers would call that GEM. A minimum of three to four grades over actual.

OT------- Easter egg hunt

Bunny will be out Saturday AM. He will stomp any rodent, flea infested squirrels that get in his way.
