1922 P VAM 2C1 or 2C2?

Is this the 2C1 or 2C2? There are tiny breaks at the top of the arc...

Nice! I have been focusing more on clashes lately. I probably need to expand my horizons a bit!

1925 P VAM 1AQ (Pictures to add to the 1AQ Page)

Picked this up thinking that I saw a collar clash in the eBay photos (I was wrong :? ). Turned out to be VAM 1AQ, one of davidkclose 's discoveries, although this seems to be a higher grade example. Attached are LFCPs for the VAMWorld page as well as some additional photos, if someone could add them...

Is the top coin a 1923S? I appears to be the same as 1923S VAM 1BA, which is the EDS of VAM 1CC.
First coin in the post is a 1926s.

Look at my post. My 22P is very similar. Mechanical doubling.

Most likely from friction against other coins in a roll.
The shiny spots are friction spots... it's in the lower relief areas where the detail is missing. Weak strike seems to be a reasonable explanation but I don't know...

I am still looking for a plain Jane VAM 1. Why are these so hard (for me) to find????

I think it to small to list .
That's what I thought, too. What about the 22S that I added to the thread above?
Thanks!

1922-P Small Chip on the Lip and 1922 S with heavy polishing on reverse

Rather than eat space with two threads, I will combine this with the next coin... This 22P has a small die chip or early beginning of a break on the lip. Is this just die poop and too small to list? 1922P SMall chip on lip.jpg Second coin is a 1921 S VAM 1 that was clashed and heavily polished on th...

Re: Peace Dollar Clash Question

Leroy might say it reaches to the U but on the triple spikes? He may simply say that is die files running parallel to the clashmark. Thanks, Brian. Got another one; different coin. This one has a strong hair clash in the rays but nothing, not even file lines, at the shoulder. I am pretty sure that ...

Peace Dollar Clash Question

For single spike clashes to be listed, they must reach the letters. This looks like it might reach the letters, but since I often fall victim to seeing what I think I see, I am looking for second opinions. It also looks at the base as if this might be a triple spike as well. Any thoughts? PEACE CLAS...

Re: 1926 S Peace Dollar Vam?... Confused

Need to see full coin pics. The doubling you see is not die doubling; it is machine/strike doubling. It results from a loose lie that shifts slightly during the striking process. The give-away is the flat, shelf-like appearance of the doubled portion. Here's a helpful primer on it: http://ec2-13-58-...

1922 P Missing Details in Eagle

20190307_144645.jpg There is a lot of missing detail in the eagle's wing and tail feathers. Other than this, and a strong hair clash with file/polishing lines throughout theRay's, there is nothing of much interest on the reverse. Is the missing feather detail just the result.of a weak strike or has...
