Re: JR may not like me.

Hey Chris, you may wanna check the mm on that pos the rabbit posted...πŸ˜‰ Only he can take a WOW and make it meh. What am I missing here Rob? Looks like a 78s to me and I can only go by JRs v6 attribution as lowball VAMming is a beast best left to those who either get paid and must do it.. or crazy r...

Re: HA Shipping Delay

Nice! I cherrypicked one in PC 58 last year as an upgrade for someone. My first time seeing a higher grade example in hand and I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. Pics really do belie how gorgeous the v20 rev is in-hand 😎

Re: JR may not like me.

Thats a neat one John. Here's one I picked raw last year. She's all yours if you want to crack & Bunny-Bounce her with that dirty DMPL JR had the audacity to send back to you recently πŸ€ͺ😎

Re: 82 O/S

Cool find. Whenever I get some circ rolls I always look for the O/S and O/CC's. And I tend to find them relatively often enough to make me wonder how it's possible with both how well known they are and how easy they are to spot even without mag. And its still a minor thrill every time. That one seem...

1882o... Is this a v24 or 25?

Hey guys, is this a 24 or 25? It says they share the same obv and there is some confusion with the listings and it appears that they may have pics that belong on one or the other. The rev on mine here seems to match the written description for v25 but the LFCP of the rev on the v24 page looks to hav...

Uh oh.
It looks like dreams have been crushed... and this time not by JR.

Polishing lines below In and under the eagle's beak are a match to an EDS of 45, plus the little spike behind the eagle's neck.

I was SO freaking out there for about an hour!

O/T... No coins, darnit!

So as some of you know I live in a historical house (for SoCal) built in 1931 on the city's historical registry. Anywho, the short version is we had a shower pan leaking for who knows how long. We ripped the very cramped shower out and are replacing it with a tub/shower. And boy was I hoping for a t...

Re: Is this an 1882-S VAM 11A ?

What JB said. Just checked it against the 11A DC and its a lock. Yours seems to be a slightly earlier die state though (probably just a relative 'handful' of strikes before my DC after the die reworking) as some of the faint lines like the nose to mouth one, the star lines & above cap lines are gone...

Re: The crusher strikes again.

Ouch. A legit DMPL. That's the stuff bunnymares are made of. You must've been 2 six-packs down and 3 sheets in 3hrs after you got the news. The other ones are perfect starters to break in a new pair of jeans though so Congrats! 😎

Re: is leroy available to play with coins yet?

If one is concerned with Leroy's lack of time to process coins, one can send them to JB (messydesk) at VSS and get them attributed. If JB decides they are already VAMs he will identify them and slab them. If newly discovered VAMs then they can go to Leroy and JB is good at describing what appears t...

Re: Press feeder/ejector gouges - Are these counted as VAM varieties?

I'll leave my answer up to being torn apart but I would say they are mainly used as attribution "fingerprints" similar to die cracks. But if it leaves a deep and bold enough gouge (some do leave wicked deep gouges) then it could qualify for a stage split.

Re: 1878 S VAM 17 Somthing Progression Photos

Nice on Russ. My 17 (17c?) I cherrypicked it soely due to how much hair is missing. Wasn't familiar with the progression and when i saw the hair while flipping through boxes I had to put it in the buy pile. I was pleasantly surprised it was part of the 17 family when I had time to look closer as I r...

God those stars are killer. How the hell did i miss those even in my uber green days. Whoa! This is a case study...
