85p with MANY Threadlikes (UPDATE: Back From LVA)

Hey guys. I could use some help on this one. This is the most threadlikes I've seen on a single die (a patch of multiple small ones in the cap. ) I've gone down the list and even disregarding the threadlikes I'm coming up dry. Leroy pile? Or did I miss it? Thanks! Disregard the "holder" 201807...

Re: 1928-P Super Pick

I'm pretty sure the dealer thought it was a 23. I've had 2 dealers both look at a 23 thinking it was a 28 when it clearly wasn't. This is just the reverse side of that. "Its a cruddy 23, throw it in the bucket." I'd bet money that's what happened.

78s.. II 15 obv, not v83

Hey guys. I have a 78s with the II 15 obverse but the reverse isn't quite matching up. The listing says the II 15 was "used for many pairings" but does not link or list which VAMs they are. Can someone point me to which are the known pairings with the II 15? Thanks! http://www.vamworld.com/1878-S%20...

Very nice. I cherrypicked my 32A in an NGC 63 slab that upgraded to PCGS 64. You just cant beat that reverse!

Chris,
I agree with 3O2. Yes, this stage is known.
Awesome Lee. Thanks. This is now my second error 3o2 as my huge halfway-cracked planchet is also a 3o2. The beginnings of a new short set?

The Goldfish was an Atheist! (Briefly)

Neat trade newp. I have her as 3o2. The polishing lines aren't as thick and widespread as the official 3o2 (must be a lighter pre-polishing before they went to town on the reverse) but the scribbles are gonzo so I would call her a 3o2. Agree? Is this stage known? 20180714_164104.png 20180714_163939....

Re: I Vary Interesting Broken Die

:o Wow. If anything matches the phrase "interior retained cud" that we hear on other forums constantly to describe every filled 5 or BIE Lincoln or just about any small die chip, this does! Very neat. Is it known? If not expect a PM from the doc ;)

Might want to add a few sticker arrows first to help newbies zero in on stuff. My phone doesn't have them or I would have. My drawing arrows look like shit

It's a knife / cut mark. Recessed in the middle where the knife was drawn with humps on the sides and end where the metal was pushed up.
