Re: VotW List

I'm a go of course. We already have a list and order though right? So all we need is to reinstate the list order and add any 2.0 newbies to the rotation just like we always have. Or am I missing something?

Re: Clash question

Huh. Never really thought about that. I'm sure this has absolutely no bearing to your specific question but it reminds me of the Talon-Head clashed Ikes. Specifically the D mint ones which are much more rare due to, apparently, Denver having an auto-shutoff function that shut off the press if it det...

Re: The 3 Micro O VAMs

JB has a very cool theory that, if proven, would be a blockbuster movie. Here's a link to an old CCF thread where he Chris thank you very much. Could you tell me how to highlight like you did? I did copy/paste, not so good. And on the counterfeit subject, about 25 yrs ago I bought a 93S morgan. Thi...

I have a couple low grade raw. What, when, where. Is their origin speculative? JB has a very cool theory that, if proven, would be a blockbuster movie. Here's a link to an old CCF thread where he explained it to save him from taking time with the site migration... https://www.coincommunity.com/foru...

Isn't there an Ike dollar with the Peg leg designation?
Yes. And multiple years too from overpolished dies. Its probably the most generally known variety term for Ikes even ahead of the friendly eagle variety. Heck, then you even have the 76 bicentennial which was a hub design peg leg.

Ugh for us but good on him. Must be quite the challenge at his age but they say being active and vigorous has its benefits in advanced age. Does he have help? Or at least a nurse that comes by to help Marilyn every so often? Sent him a 10 batch about 3 weeks ago. Was hoping to get them back before L...

Cool. Not sure I like the possible future Ike crossover confusion though. I too would be curious to know when the last time he officially nicknamed a VAM was. Most of the big nicknames we know were given in the 70s/80s. For instance the "Hot Lips," I've heard, is a tribute to M*A*S*H.

Re: Purdy 21........-S

Yeah. I remember that one you picked up in Anaheim or Denver; a 66 IIRC? Agreed on the spot but it should come off with a simple Qtip dip. It's more of a toning spot from a 2x2 pinhole than a full on carbon killer (hopefully.) Just haven't got around to conserving it yet.
