Nice pickins' Chris! Yeah, that 21 has a good shot at PL and your pack of garbage pail kids is showing some wear and tear from showing off all those PL Morgans... :D
I know, right. Better start using another one. I could have sold that pack 100 times over by now

Some nice ones Chris!
Is the 01-O v1a the good (LDS) one or the common (EDS) one? Cuz the good one is REALLY good and the common one is, well, REALLY common.
The MDS double T, unfortunately. But for paying unattributed dealer wholesale, I can't complain 😁

Cherries from a recent buy trip...

Nothing earthshattering but some sweetness for sure. Could be some hidden gems I haven't attributed yet too.. Watch out Brian! These are just the VAM cherries so far, not the raw grade / upgrade cherries etc, aside the first one... Raw 21p that has a very, very good shot at 4PL! (Not vammed ye...

Re: Need Help with a 1878 8TF

If you really want to dig-in on 8TF's @messydesk has a good attribution tool to help teach you how to quickly identify the various reverses then the pick up points to narrow down which VAM pairing for a given reverse. Message him if something like that interests you. Also, super nice pics! ;)

Re: Your favorite Vam that is not on a "list" or is considered excessively rare?

I'll throw Pollock-1723 into the mix. It doesn't even have a VAM number, but is in the book. One of my favorite memories was watching Leroy look at my example. Here's the auction listing https://coins.ha.com/itm/patterns/1878-1-morgan-dollar-judd-1550a-pollock-1723-low-r6-improperly-cleaned-lacquer...

Re: PCGS said "no"

The Super Johns... J.R. and J.B... looked at my scribbles photos and solved the mystery of this coin -- it's a VAM 1U. Yay for the Super Johns! But back to hunting for a 9A. Sigh .. You haven't lived until you've witnessed first hand JB attributing a 21p in a dimly lit restaurant foyer, under the l...

Re: Some still out there to find

Every time someone post one of these it gets me all thorny and I just have to go look at some coin porn to try to find one! Seriously though, I love hunting the 1B's. They're fun and they can typically be seen on the Ebay thumbnail pics when scrolling so you don't have to open every 21s listin...

It doesn't quite present like typical mylar tear toning to me. Perhaps it is though and it's just a slightly different manifestation.
