Re: 88p... v2 or v14 or missed it or LVA?

Actually, Wayne, these LFPC's are decent. I'll check for any specific bold PUPs and add them here soon.

Re: 88p... v2 or v14 or missed it or LVA?

VAM 9. The picture on the VAM 2 page is wrong. The VAM book shows a position that is clearly near for the VAM 2, almost near for VAM 9. I'll move the picture. Thanks JB. I made a rookie mistake from the gate. The coin is slightly rotated in the holder and I had it as a slant date with the 8 higher ...

Wowzers. I still remember the time someone, who shall remain nameless, just threw his down in front of me like it was no big deal. And he also did that a few months later with a v44 newp. I've since learned his poker face

Re: Coins to LVA

My suggestion a couple weeks ago when he re-opened for business was to send him coins on the day of the month corresponding to that of your birthday. For example, if you birthday is Septemper 9, wait until April 9. Be aware that nothing is going to be quick, as his full-time job is that of his wife...

pictures of coin, what do I do send it to messydesk so it can be put as Top Pop
No, you just need to join the SSDC and enter it into the census but only if you are sure of the VAM. It's cheap and you get access to census info, the ability to view and create registries etc. Do it ;)

Re: PCGS grades in...

PC is being very wonky lately and still appears to be. I have a 21d thats so close to PL come back 62 a few months ago then 64 a month or so ago on a retry. No PL yet but I'll try 10 times if I have to, it's that close, would easily PL if it wasn't a 21d so it should by the 10th sub. Hopefully it wo...

Re: It's Finally In-Hand... Is It a New E Discovery?... Muahaha...

I suggest you forget about clashed VAMs for a while, hammer down on the basics then come back to the clashes. That's not to say dont pull the trigger if you see a wicked clasher you want to buy, but just put it away and come back to them as a whole. You're expending way too much energy that you shou...

Interesting.

What is the source of wood chips/sawdust in the minting process?
They were used for drying the planchets after the final rinse before striking.

Re: It's Finally In-Hand... Is It a New E Discovery?... Muahaha...

I have had the E Clash scratch on my retina for some time now. The location is everything! the tilt and angle have to be dead on, and if you have to have more than 2 photos showing it.....then its not present. if you only use 1 photo and put 3 arrows pointing at what your talking about its "REALLY ...

My God. 2019 is shaping up to be "The year of the 54B"... Do I smell a "54C" discovery with a heavily displaced crack showing a 1/16th" to 1/8" gap of metal fully bisecting the reverse from rim to rim?! 😮🤤

Re: O/T... What caused this PMD ???

The corrosion covers everything, but the high points flake off more easily. I've seen coins, usually copper, that are corroded so badly that they crumble to dust when the encrusting layer comes off. Thanks JR, I hadn't seen ED corrosion present like this before. That said, I don't look at corroded ...
