Re: Who else is growing a Quarantine Beard?...

Well, had to wait two weeks for this (now you know why I only shave once a month). The goatee parts are standard equipment, the rest is optional for me. Those of you that know me might be surprised to see I have hair... yup, the hat is a choice, not a cover up!😂 1FFA657D-228F-4E4C-A237-D290EEACEBEB....

Re: VAM trade

Rabbit, don't pawn off all of those awesome (cough, cough) VAMs you have for this! You'll have plenty to get you through, TP is just like a coin cuz it has two sides. Just flip it over and you're good to go! I mean, it's not like you're not washing your hands 57 times a day anyway...

Re: OT Florida finally on Stay at Home Order

I hate to say it, but Florida is about to be the new NY/NO... why the hell do these people not get it until it delivers a big overhand right? Y'all think y'all's tougher than NY?
Anyone living in a state that hasn't locked down yet should seriously consider legal action against their government.

Re: OT: earthquake in Boise, ID

Hopefully not much was damaged and folks weren't hurt! I've experienced two that I know of, but neither was very big. The first was the one that damaged the Washington Monument several years ago. I was working in Johnstown, PA (of Johnstown flood fame) on some not very firm scaffolding, so I didn't ...

Re: Can post-mint incuse damage have flow lines?

My reference to clash mark transfer was intended for any raised devices on coin which are incuse on the die. Of course, the opposite is true for LIBERTY on the Morgan coin and die. Thanks for that reminder Rob. No worries, it's just by happen-chance that all known Morgan letter transfers from the r...

Re: Can post-mint incuse damage have flow lines?

Just curious. I was looking at some coins with what appears to be post-mint incuse damage on the obverse, like wide scratches, but if I look at those incuse areas with a digital microscope it sure looks like flow lines are in the incuse areas, along with what appear to be polishing, grinding or fil...

Re: 1886 VAM 20 REPUNCHED DATE

So a couple things: 1) I didn't bid on this coin, but I'd be curious to know who all here did? Were any of you the underbidder, cuz you might want to have a word with eBay if you were. 2) The "look" of it in the pics says cleaned to me anyway. 3) The fact that you have it relisted tells me that ther...

Re: Can post-mint incuse damage have flow lines?

Can't see much from that pic, have you ruled out a strike-through? My opinion would be that it depends on what the PMD is and how it happened. If it were smooth and slow developing (like possibly coins settling in a bag) I think it could be possible for the flow lines to remain... Also, I believe th...
