Re: Onliest I found so far
Thanks Brian, Felix and Lee! It seems that it may be time to bring back the old "name that VAM" game of the past. There are only like a (baker's) dozen E reverses fellas and only a few are P mints. I'll give you a couple better pics to help out... let us know when you got it! rojopick919203.JPG rojo...

Re: Onliest I found so far
Love you too Rabbit!
Jason, just fell from the tree, I swear!
I decided to pare down my collection and only keep my SCD and WOW! sets, but, by default, that means I'm also keeping my E set, for which this one will fill the biggest remaining hole!

No good deed goes unpunished...
Sheesh.
I may have a coin to offer for opinion, but I'm not sure when I'd get it graded... in fact I may post a couple just to help out.

TBH I think he can choose the person he wants to send a free coin to solely at his own discretion. I know it kind of sucks but, meh.

Re: 1880 P 1A series
IMO I think it might have been better to call it 1a1 LDS because anything short of the knob isn't nearly as desirable. In the market world a "no crack" would probably carry the same value as a "cracked, not broke".

Re: Nice $50 cherry!
Sweet find Chris! :D Unfortunately, I didn't start this out with my customary "WOW!"... I'll ask Russ, who got the 1a3 listed or JR/JB to support or refute me, but I believe the 1a3 stage starts when that Y in the crack in front of the cap band breaks out, so my opinion is you have a VERY NICE VAM-1...

Re: 1880 P 1A series
As much as it pains me to say, you pretty much got it right Rabbit. As for the discrepancy between VW and the registry, VW has to stick to the official listings while the registry can take some liberties. The registry mods apparently felt that the "cracked, but not broke" stage of the v1a was worthy...

Re: USPS Shipping What a Joke
No need to make it personal, sheesh. Though it would take little effort to gather materials for a Franklinator in my neighborhood.
As for the USPS, they're just making the post office great again, no malfeasance intended.
This board needs to adopt some form of sarcasm font.

Re: Any collection buyers out there?
So, a little update: The actual total number of silver dollars is at around 600 now. Roughly half of those are raw (most of the half) or in details holders (a few dozen of the half). These 300ish dollars I priced at a flat $20 ea. when I came up with my sell price. Those 300ish dollars now melt for ...
