Wow! That one would look nice hanging on the wall over the mantle at a mountain cabin. Or anywhere. What are the highest pixel dimensions available?
I could also Photoshop some antlers on it.

Re: Anyone Doing a New Orleans Date Set?

I'd call the 88-O Scarface (VAM 1B) and Hot Lips (VAM 4) the most significant. You can see both with the naked eye at arm's length in the dark.

Re: 2019 VSS/PCGS Bulk Submission #1

Hi John, So if I understand PCGS fees for a 1879s rev of 78 (I have 5 to send) in high au or bu would be $25. A 1921 peace in 61 or 62 would be $25. and good thru au slabs in general are $10? Thank you Mike An AU 79-S Rev of 78 would be $10. If one graded 61 or maybe even 62, they'd probably charge...

Re: 1892 O - duplicate listing?

Unless there is something different on the reverse, the pitting is about as good of a fingerprint as any that show this to be a unique die. The doubled 8 is faint enough that could have been missed when first inspected, or worn off the die in a later die stage. I changed the comment on the VAM 3A pa...

Re: 2019 VSS/PCGS Bulk Submission #1

Thanks John! I will get them in the mail this week. Should I indicate my forum name and/or Bulk Submission somewhere on the form as to not confuse with other orders? It's best to jot down "bulk" somewhere. Once in a while, I get a package of all raw coins that's not for a bulk order. You can add yo...

Hey JB, I plan on sending bout 20 newps for your bulk submission. Is this too many? Don't want to be a hog and will pair down the number if you wish. Thank you MIke
20 is fine. I picked up a bunch for the submission at FUN, so with yours and colwillys' coins, it's over half way to 100.

Nice high relief Morgans! :)

What do you bet that a building with a facade like that also has a cornerstone with some 1902 coins in it?

Re: Hav'n FUN (Live)

Not only did I get JR's presentation and VAM Thing XVI. I got JR doing me for 5N5. Mike Ferrone(sp?) and I got Ash. The sound on mine and Mike's is a bit garbled due to background noise. I'm hoping to be able to edit and capture the good stuff and remove the junk. I'm burnt to a crisp. It was a HUG...

Re: I don't belong here: 1882-P

It would seem I have become horribly spoiled by what tends to be an abundance of secondary PUP photos in the 1921-P pages, because when I tried to identify an 1882-P today I was immediately frightened. (So MANY with doubled dates... most of which I can't actually see!) But backing away was not an o...

I imagine if it were more detached, with the stem totally missing, it would be listable, but in this case, probably not.

This sort of event is typically a show highlight for those who attend them. Together with VAM Thing on Friday, this makes FUN a great show to attend, even if only for the fellowship.
