Re: 1904-O VAM 4B question

I have a PCGS graded 1904-O not attributed and noticed that the Obverse has all the attributes except the spiked "1" and the Cud is between the "I" and "B" . The reverse is not pitted or have the file lines in the wings. Is this still considered a 4B? Not VAM 4B. It has to match the specification e...

JB-When I get these back from LVA and have some confirmation can I send the groupings to you so you have them all at once to check the emission sequence?

He might see it differently or point us to other associations, which I can probably supply.
Sounds like a plan.

Re: 1881-O "O Set Left" Discussion for May

... I did not try to do an emission analysis for this group as I want some confirmation on my findings from LVA first. That could be a whole study of its own once the dies are confirmed. This is something that evolves over the course of a die study, and is the logical next step after finding all th...

Re: Scarface

Looks like a 62, which is the typical Scarface grade. Probably worth somewhere around $5000. Toning is nice, but doesn't really come into play much.

Re: I love cheap Fish in the morning :)

I believe I'm misunderstanding boss, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to post something wrong. Just thought we were posting our best "catches" of the week. It kind of went over my head that you were talking about the VAM nickname... :? Still learning the shorthands, my apologies. I'll be sure to give it it...

Re: Missing 1921-P attribution page

Since the 82-O set also includes the EDS O/S coins, I would say the 21 set should include the 3C1 EDS.

The SSDC 1921-P set has four slots... 3C1 EDS, 3C1, 3C2, 3C3. Our attribution listings don't have a 3C1 EDS page.
There shouldn't be separate page for the die stage. The VAM 3C1 page should address it, much as is done for the 82-O/S varieties.

I removed the offer to sell and eBay link from this thread so that discussion of the coin itself can stay here.

Re: 2019 VSS/PCGS Bulk #1 and #2 Headdesk

Well, I've finished sorting out everyone's coins from bulk orders #1 and #2. There were actually no "mechanical errors" on the labels by PCGS this time. Usually, they're good for one in each submission. Grades seemed reasonable for the coins. I don't study each one, but my "quality check" sample did...

Took a peek at the NGC Variety Plus page. The half dime looks like FS-301. The nickel sounds like RPD-001, but they don't have a picture.

Re: 8TF grading set in attributed PCGS holders

I have a VAM 115 in FR2, but PCGS wouldn't attribute it since you couldn't see the cotton bolls. There aren't many varieties that will be attributable in PO1. 113, 171, 189 come to mind as possibilities, and maybe 84 and 188.
