Nice luster more of a greasy luster.

Jason: PCGS coins typically (almost always) go for a lot more in all grades. Dig into the Heritage archives and you'll find that PCGS-55 VAM 1Bs have also sold for $999, $940, $940 (again), and $911. 1B is a very, very difficult coin – far more difficult than the selling prices reflect. thanks that...

Jason: Prices for this VAM have absolutely collapsed in recent years. There is currently a PCGS-35 at Heritage (auction ends tomorrow) at $110. A PCGS-40 is coming up next week, and a PCGS-45 is coming next month. I'm the consignor of all three coins and I know I'm going to get absolutely destroyed...

Thanks yes I am looking at the 35 on heritage was curious to see what it goes for I don’t know if I would mind a Au problem coin if the price was right . I’d really like a 45 straight graded but probably out of my range still

1887 vam 1b pricing help please

Looking at getting a 1887 vam 1b can I get ideas on fair pricing please . On VF-35 xf-40 xf-details and Au-details cleaned , rim ding . A Au details scratch just sold on eBay for 275 coin was nice besides the big scratches on the back . Maybe that was to cheap . I’m seeing vf in the 425 to 495 range...
