Re: Is there a 21-P expert in the house?
Thanks for all the help. The 3FT cracks match perfectly. However mine has no scribbles I can see with my 10X lens. It seems to have been polished out. This pic from the wiki looks just like mine. Does that make mine LDS? By the way, 3FT is not listed in the 16 berry crack guide.

Re: 98-O I can't pin down
Found this pic under V-12, it says "This "marker" may be a hub defect or a design feature". Anyone know the answer? Mine has this also.

98-O I can't pin down
Mine has features I cannot find on the wiki. 1898o (2).jpg This chip on the 9. 1898o (3).jpg Nostril and mouth scratches. 1898o (7).jpg Scratches on rev. There are fine lines that did not photograph where I drew the blue lines. 1898o (8).jpg And these "smudges" that almost look like clashes. Any hel...

Two 1881-S questions
I'm probably wrong but, I thought VAM-1 was "reserved" for coins with no differing features. Hence my first question, 81-S VAM-1 listing says "Some specimens show die chips between loops on both sides of first eight". Are there so many "chip and non-chip" coins that they are both normal? Also, I too...

1879-P VAM-93 Possibly stupid question
There are three dies listed for this variety. Are there three different versions of the same VAM ?
Also, my coin has the upper wing line but none of the other markers. What am I not understanding, please ?

1900-O VAM 53 ?
Can anyone confirm this? I have looked at all 1900-O listings and the 53 is the only one I can find that has a similar date and mint mark. The spur-like chip on the third star and polish lines under the chin on mine aren't mentioned markers. 1900-o mm.jpg 1900-o chin.jpg 1900-o date.jpg 1900-o 3rd s...

Found VAMWORLD error, whom do I tell?
Found these two pics on 1900-O page, clearly not the same date position. Thought someone would want to know.
