Re: 1894 o flatly struck Morgan

I think it is real
Probably heavily contaminated with corrosion and someone "hit" it with all they could to get
it nice and clean :-) even though it cost some silver content.
Weighing this puppy would be interesting note ... very lite I would think

New Orleans coins are notorious for bad strikes but good ones can be found.
Does it limit its grade, certainly.

He's simply posting a photo that shows good, clear scribbles of a 1AG. I believe it was taken from an actual Zerbe proof coin.
Cool … thnx for the clarification

Re: 1921 P - VAM-1AG - Diagnosis and Identification concluded

This has been a fun journey -

Learning how detailed and minute AG markers are
Learning how to used my HD microscope to a point where it CAN verify vam markers
more accurately than its on its stand usage.

I appreciate you guys help and guidance.
With my thanks

I stand corrected

That Bow
Seals the reverse as 1AG

And the eye would seal the obverse

Nice Job and sorry for added confusion
Okay I get it - you want to see the EYE … :)

Could be different die state I cannot find a match and "close enough" is only good for horse shoe and hand grenades. I suggest a trip to ANACS or VSS for a in hand inspection. NOT 1AG......HMMMMM It would be helpful to know if jgrinz's example has the polish line in the wreath to the right of the T in UNITED, and to get a closer look at the bow. Yes it is there - I reviewed all the examples of the LDS example to my coin and did find 90% of the markers now after MHOMEI sa...

Okay - Please let me know what you see or dont see as a 1AG as DH and Kissov
led me to this VAM and looks like everything is there except the polished eyeball
and polish lines around the letters and star (or they are too fine to see)
Do you have another VAM in mind ?
