Re: I find myself on occasion drifting more and more to the dreaded.....Darkside

Looking at your list of Darkside pickups, you have done well. Very nice pick on the 1923 VAM 1B! There are still good coins out there for those who look.

Re: 23-S help... field die chip + scrubbed patches

When you send in the coin, be sure to point out the die scratch on T of LIBERTY, which you have shown. This, and the die chip reverse, are the kinds of features which Leroy will usually list.

Re: 23-S help... field die chip + scrubbed patches

To my knowledge, this is not listed, and my 1923S set is 82% on the Registry. I have identified about 200 die marriages for 1923S, including yours, as part of my date study. As others have said, I would expect Leroy to list this, please post what he says when you get it back.

Nice pickup on the VAM 1X, there are only 4 in the Registry. I am still looking at the other coin.

Re: 1921 VAM 1F2

As I am writing this, I have in my hands a VAM 1F1, VAM 1F2 discovery coin & VAM 1G, all of which are from the same obverse die. None of my coins have the feature described, so the diagnosis of PMD is correct.
While the VAM 1F2 is scarce, they are still out there, son don't give up the hunt.

Re: VAM? 1922 S Pease obv. berry clash, rev. clashes

Sorry you didn't get a new listing. Keep on looking, there are plenty of new varieties waiting to be discovered, but most will be either minor or rare. You did the right thing by asking about the coin here first. I have had the experience of several occasions of Leroy saying a variety is "too minor"...

Re: 1922p VAM 1AI

Position of apparent collar clash not correct for VAM 1AI. Hard to see from photo if what you have is a collar clash vs PMD, if it is a collar clash then Leroy needs to see it.

Re: VAM? 1922 S Pease obv. berry clash, rev. clashes

There are definitely clash marks in front of forehead, hard to see if partial E (from ONE on reverse) is present. If it is there then you have a neat discovery!
