Re: Die Marker Question
I found I had that question when I first started looking at VAMs - was told the primary page would have the markers noted on the original VAM, and subsequent VAMs (i.e. a, b, c or .1, .2 etc. ) would only need to show the added feature which created the new VAM listing. After reading this, you'll be...

Re: 1883-P - Basic die information including overall averages
That is a great information source for one doing a study. I need to look back on here and see what you have posted from 1891. The E clash of 1891 o was informative for this collector. Thanks for posting these historical pieces of info.

Re: Proof of existence? VAM-130 or 185? (1878)
I have an 1891 o VAM 4a in an ANACS holder that I would love to use to fill the SSDC empty spot (that likely doesn't exist)..... but since it is an 1890 o, I can't make myself fill that empty slot either..... LOL

Re: Found another 1893-O VAM-6 privately-made, post your 1893-O/1894-O PMs
Curious if any of the 93 o privately made are known to have a rotated reverse. Several years back at a local show, there was a dealer that had 5 or 6 of the 1893 o's in his stock that all looked "funny". Each of them had approximate rotation of 45 to 75 degrees. He said he had bought them all from a...

I'll take a wild guess and say it is one of the "privately made" varieties.

Re: Letter about 1891-O "E" transfer
As I close in on retirement, I am looking at completing a die study of the 1891 o Morgan. I am not familiar with the necessary "permissions" needed to include info from here and other sites. Is there a guide to such? I don't want issues with anyone, but would like to include plenty of information. I...

Re: 1885-o Morgan VAM-24 with Belly button.
Got back an 1891 o with the belly button designation from a submission to ANACS last year. I'd have to look and see what the VAM number was. If I remember correctly it was in MS 60 or 61. I did request the designation on the submission form.

Possibly on your post you can click the little "pencil looking" box in the upper right corner and edit your original posting from there?

I'm disappointed in everyone - nobody has said "just drive on over to my house and drop it off" LOL Seriously though, careful shipment in two or 3 packages sounds like a decent plan. Good luck getting it done safely.

Re: OT: Registered mail lunacy
Even normal mail is a bit crazy - they closed the postal sorting division in the city I live in - Everything now goes to Kansas City, then they sort out the stuff that goes back to here and it comes back a day or two later. Federal efficiency.... LOL

Very nice, one tough coin. Have been looking for one for quite a while, haven't come across one in the wild yet.
