Re: Very unusual 1921-D crack

Thanks for sharing Dennis. I put it in the Broken Branch Mintmark Set. I have not run across that one yet. If we can get your pic on the its page, that would be great.

BTW, that 80 VAM 1A2 is probably worth sending back in for grade review with your next order.
Well, ANACS might see it again in 2025 when I have my next "Every Two Year Submission" to ANACS. Mine will not be dog bitten though. ;)

Re: My Every Two Year ANACS Submission Returns

Any VAMworld VAMmer can hi-jack my thread anytime. I am always interested in other VAMmer's picks and dog bitten holders.

Re: My Every Two Year ANACS Submission Returns

However, its a rare coin and the grading companies will not give grades to compete with what has been put forth with other grades that certain people own. Thanks for your opinion. I hope that is not the case. I have had other grades grade higher than what I expected before that where high demand VA...

Re: Submission back from ANACS

Congrats on that clashed 89CC. Any remnants of a reverse "E" on it?
My submission took 8 weeks but was known when I sent them.

Re: My Every Two Year ANACS Submission Returns

THANKS for the replies.
Here is the 80-P VAM 1A2 XF40. I assume the wear above the ear may have given it the XF40 but man, it has much detail to it.

My Every Two Year ANACS Submission Returns

Overall, I am pleased with my submissions. The 1880-P VAM 1A2 I thought was a undergrade at XF 40. It would be the best looking XF40 I have ever owned. Looks AU'ish but I am not the expert on grades. The 21-D VAM 1H2 was hoping for VAM 1H3 since it looks to have the raised field break or cud which w...

I noticed that 78-S VAM 36A was renumbered to VAM 117. Reasoning?
Different obverse die from VAM 36.
Two thumbs up!

Re: Selling Vams - Heritage Dec. 3rd 1878-1885

Great list of VAMs. Hope to land a couple myself.
Question. I notice many have VAM numbers attributed in title but not on holder. Are these self-attributed or Heritage attributed (if they do such a thing)?

You are correct. Very confusing when you see Title not matching the pic.

A Different Kind Of VAM Pick

I never thought I would ever find just one of these VAM books again, but low behold they all came at once. Bought them at original price of when they first came out. Pretty cool addition to my VAM library.

Re: Sleeper Set

Three polished reverses come to mind in the 1880-O VAMs, VAM 45A, 78, 81 are so hard to find and deserve some recognition.

Re: Positive Mis attribution stories wanted

I bought this one (https://www.pcgs.com/cert/39003430) years ago knowing the attribution VAM 1A was wrong and was sold as VAM 3A1 of which it is. Pretty obvious one to miss even for a VAM weenie like me but I kept it in its holder and had it VSS attributed instead. So always double check the VAM 1A ...

My favorite is this Buy Sell Trade Board right here. Free to list. No taxes. Can negotiate sometimes. No fee to sell, though I try to send something into VAMworld when I do sell here.
