Re: 1904-O Series Question
Appreciate all the responses. I am observing one with about 7-8 degree rotation. I just never seen one in the 04-O series and wondered if it was catalogued before. Thanks guys!

Have you looked at VAM 62? If that's not it, try to sort by reverse design or date using the attribution guide above the listings.

You are correct. It is a "retained cud". I need to proof read my post before I hit the submit button.vamsterdam wrote: ↑Mon Feb 08, 2021 5:03 pmthat is not a full cud. it's not even a cud. it's a retained cud, but i am glad you like it. my ebay guy thought my price was too high.

I have always wanted to find a MS grade 1921-D VAM 1N3 since my discovery coin is only an XF45. So when I saw this ICG MS 62 unattributed with owner labeling it as VAM 1N, I noticed it was a 1N3 with full cud on reverse. I did wait until in hand and the full cud is there. It also has the displaced f...

Re: Six Stolen 1878s
Sorry to hear this. I am sure they will show up somewhere as most people will not know what they have and will want to sell it quick. I would also notify local pawn shops if it was stolen locally from your Canadian post office. Will keep a look out for ya though.

Another Slot in my Broken Mintmark Set Filled
I thought it would be awhile before I could afford a 03-O in any grade but with the help of Uncle Sam, I pulled the trigger on this 1903-O VAM 4A ovaloid clash. I found it on a dealer's website (not Ebay) and paid a reasonable price for it. She is a beaut in a NGC 64 holder. Just a few more to go to...

Re: Stupid Questions from the new guy!
Welcome to VAMworld. The best advice I received when I started VAMming back in the day was to read all the content on VAMworld and when you get done reading it, read it again. Many professional experts on here to help so ask away.

Re: Fall Sale - All Coins SOLD!
I just want to say thanks to all who bought, especially the person who bought 99% of all the dollars. Never did I think I could sell all of them here on the BST board. I'd like to send some thank you money back to VAMworld and or SSDC for allowing me to sell on the BST board and maybe catch up on my...

Re: An Added Bonus
Starting from about 1880 through 1905, counterfeiting these type of Morgans, was usually a small, local operation when they were caught. Some are reported to be very bad fakes, easy to identify as fake but some of the fakes are reported to be very good, hard to discern from the real. There was many ...

You do not see these pop up for sale much but was happy enough to take it off the dealer's hands. Though not a cherry pick for the VAM, it was a cherry pick for the holder. I do believe ANACS graded about 209 of the micro O's (total) back in the late 90's putting the "TOP 100" tag on them. 10 of the...
