Re: 1888-P non-slanted date VAM-39B?

It sure looks like the 1 is closer to the denticles than the 2nd 8 to me....(Slanted date). There are other VAMs where there is more of a slant but I call this one slanted.

A great coin! The clash mark on the obverse do in fact show the reverse details from the coin shown. It is not too rare- I have 2 just cause I think they are so cool.

sure looks like a strike thru to me. I am thinking that it is not a dropped letter but it sorta looks like an L.

long lost 79-S V41...

Here are some pictures of what I am calling an 1879-S VAM-41 but I am thinking it is the same as the 1879-S VAM-69. Any thoughts? Anyone

Some show evidence of a "removed clash" some do not show any evidence of a clashing at all. I am lean...

Re: 1889 O with an X under Eagle

Some of the casinos in Nevada (and elsewhere I am sure) use to have silver dollars in slots. Some of them would "deface" the silver dollars in said slots so they stood a greater chance of being redeemed (for paper) or put back into the machine rather than being taken to the far reaches of the planet...
