This sports the exact same reverse as does the 1879-S VAM-63 but it has an obverse I can not match up to the 63 (or any other VAM...).

I have talked with one of the two coauthors of the set. It turns out that the set was aimed at radial die breaks and was not intended to be 100% inclusive.
