Re: Ebay separating from Paypal
When selling certified coins, I have found that Great Collections is an excellent option in terms of listing fees and prices realized. I quit purchasing any coins from eBay, and now with PayPal being out of the transaction, that seals it for me.

In memory of my shipmates who paid the ultimate price on the USS Enterprise. Without question, God spared me and many others that day.

Re: Free ANA membership
Thanks for link John. Was a Junior member many years ago, and after spending 4 years in Vietnam, wanted to convert my J number to a regular number. Refused stating that I had to pay the many years of unpaid subscriptions.

Re: Done With eBay
Appreciate the helpful input on how best to avoid this type of situation. Now I know to always pay with PayPal. Am confident that once I hear back from the seller on January 7, either an amicable reimbursement will occur or I will turn over all eBay correspondence and seller's comments to Discover a...

Done With eBay
Several weeks ago I purchased a PCGS graded MS63 1923-D Peace Dollar. Upon receipt of the coin, the appearance of the coin differed drastically from the toned appearance which was posted in the auction listing. Still awaiting refund on said returned coin which was received at the Florida address one...

Really enjoyed reading the latest VAM-E. The 1895-S VAM information was great and well presented.

Re: 1878-S VAM22
That's an excellent idea. Was probably at least 12 years ago when I purchased it, and at that time, he stated that he didn't have many of his signed PCI slabs remaining.

Re: 1878-S VAM22
Dennis, I certainly appreciate your research and pricing results. Yes, erratic is certainly a fitting description, but it is what it is. Looks like the PCGS MS6! would be worth submitting to PCGS for VAM attribution. The PCI slabbed coin is a little different situation, I am already below what I ori...

Re: Do I have NEW 1925 S VAM?
Bert, The 1C3 page is totally lacking of the detailed photos that you provided, and what nice detailed photos they are. My attribution was based solely on the LVA Vam description and the limited views posted on the existing VAM page. Would hope that with confirmation by one of two others, your photo...

Sold a nice NGC MS63 14.4A (labeled as 14.4) for $525 a couple of years ago on eBay. Would imagine the same coin today would bring around $400+.

Re: 1883-O PGGS MS63 VAM-1C1 NAOH
Based on the auction prices that I have seen lately, MS63 Morgans aren't exactly commanding premium prices unless there is some remarkable toning. That said, I don't think that it is worth the price to pay for attribution since most collectors looking at the item will know what it is when they see i...

1883-O PGGS MS63 VAM-1C1 NAOH
Would appreciate estimates on what this coin would bring on market. Obverse and reverse surfaces are so very close to PL but PCGS didn't feel the coin warranted this description.

Re: Great Collection Auctions
Not every significant VAM listed will be so identified, and I'm not referring to VAM-1. Can well remember how I loved to cherry pick so I've included slabs that are not attributed just to give everyone a chance to hone their VAM identification skills. Great Collections photos should make that much e...
