Re: A couple of memories for today

That's cool JR.

The last 2 dozers I operated were a D8 and D9 respectively several years back. Now I'm primarily on excavators.

Thank everyone who has served in our Military. God bless you all.

Re: Inconsitencies in comparing this 1884-O morgan to markers seen on vam page

First of all, welcome to the site. Your coin is definitely not a VAM-5A so it assuredly will not be consistent with that page. In your case, check the Date placement and especially the MM, you should be able to locate your VAM # with this info. I believe there are only 2 VAMS identical with your MM ...

The fonts looking puffy or not sharp looking are usually a good tell tale sign of a Morgan being a fake. :)

Re: 1886 VAM 20 REPUNCHED DATE

On the contrary, there's only one idiot in this whole fiasco and we all know who that is. And he should damn sure be ashamed of himself for acting like one.

I do think the coin has been cleaned though and hope you got it cheap. Either way, good :) :) luck.

Yup, PMD.

If you follow what you believe to be a crack up into the hair, there's a divot and is just the momentum of a well placed hit.

Re: 1883 O Proof like?

Might be Semi or even PL but too much chatter on the cheek and in the field for anywhere close to MS-65 in my opinion.
I'm more along the line of 61-62.

Best of luck on it and let us know.
Welcome aboard. :D
