On Wednesday this week -- 48 hours later -- he called to say it had arrived!! :o Just when you think you know wh...

Re: 1921 Morgan broken mint mark
It's a Denver coin whose mint mark was hit and damaged by something, perhaps the edge of another coin.

Re: 1921-P VAM 58
Both of my VAM 58s have light beveling in the denticles above S _O like your does, but neither have a finger feed gouge in ST.

Re: 1901 vam 3
Jason: 1901 VAM 3 is one of a handful of VAMs that has keen crossover appeal into the general (non-VAM) Morgan market, which means higher grade examples tend to be expensive, even though prices have eased in recent years. Here is what I have in those two grades: 1901- 3 50 PCGS Jan-09 TT $2,415 1901...

Same questions as always:
-- raw or certified?
-- certified by whom?
-- attributed on holder?
-- problem-free or not?
-- white or toned?
-- any visual distractions (splotches, spots, fingerprints, etc)?

Re: Covid Shots
Ok, gotta start by saying this is a general observation and not aimed at ANYONE in particular (certainly not you Bob, I was more than happy knowing I was no where near the top of the vaccine list...), but this is another absolutely HILARIOUS piece of the "human condition"... 560,000 Americans have ...

Re: die crack map is made
I've got a reMarkable (tablet) that is phenomenal for doing this. If you send me pictures, I can easily mark them up and send them back. That is, if you're talking about pictures of coins... not your, um, reverse side on some scanner... Thank you gentlemen... and Fogie... for your assistance. The t...

Re: D1 1921-P cracks mystery
Once again, my attribution failure and great frustration was due to a missing piece in the die crack break guide. I really hope I am not the only one who winds up buying unneeded duplicates because of such a simple thing that, when fixed, eventually benefits many others down the road. I have already...

die crack map is made
I can provide photos of the cracks for a coin that currently does not have a listing in the 1921-P die crack break guide, but who knows how to create the lines on the obverse and reverse templates?

Update:
No it's not a D2. It's a D1 like I first thought. But it's not in the &#^(@!! D1 die crack break guide, despite having several very large cracks. ARGH!!
