I'm so very sorry for your lose. Our four legged friends become dear members of our families and it is a traumatic event for anyone who has lost a trusted and loving companion. I've experience such a loss on numerous occasions and I can understand how you and your family must be feeling.

While photo-documenting my 1880-S VAM-11 I noticed the date appears to be a normal slanted date. The full coin photo in the VW VAM-11 Page also shows a slanted date. I don't know why the slanted date wasn't included as an attributable feature. Please have a look at the photograph I took of my VAM-11...
