Simple answer is its a sickness of obsession. When you need to find and document every set of dies, or combination of dies, used for a particular date/mint.

I dont believe it. They never minted any Morgan Dollars after 1878. We all know this to be a fact.

I remember the early days of collecting Morgans. I learned quick that there are 3 ways to learn. Paying, pain and knowledge. I still get suckered for a V16 every once in a while, because of bad pictures. Its much worse when a 3rd party grading company gets it wrong.
