In a rare occurrence, I'm gonna have to go ahead and disagree with Dennis here...
As long as the clashed I is present, these carry a nice premium. I sold my MS64 to a VERY knowledgeable collector for 3x common, because he told me he'd be willing to pay 4x common...

Re: Sleeper Set
If I'm following the jist of JC's OP one I would suggest from my short discovery list is the 1901-O VAM-36a. It's a strong clasher in a series that features some strong clashers (so there are eyes on them looking for clashing), yet I'm not aware of a second example coming to light in over a decade....

Re: Sleeper Set
This is meant for the "killer cuds" part of this discussion... For my part, I can say the slot in the WOW! VAMs set is actually a "strong retained cuds or later" slot because any of the full cuds... ALL of the full cuds are so danged scarce that there would be very few opportunities to complete the ...

Re: weekly bay of E listings
I must admit it's heartening to see those "WOW List" tagged VAMs seem to be bringing a bit of a premium! :D Disheartening to see what the Oval Os seem to bring... Also, Keilg1, read your post again, it seems a bit combative at the start. To help, keep this in mind, the SSDC price guide was a...

Okay, why do I get "It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image. Please verify that the URL you entered is correct." when I try to add pics?

You can find several of these offered online at any given moment, usually for around $80-100, so you may be asking "Are you NUTS Squirrel?! Why would a cheap-ass like you spend extra on something that is fairly common??" Good question. The answer is, well, I like Dr.Pepper, it's a major brand and th...

I think the John Morgan story could hold some water, but also think there's a chance that someone buried them before heading off to the war, then never returned from the war...

Re: Back in the day
I think it's a lot of things Dom. It seems like when I found VW there were a WHOLE LOT of "I'm gonna get rich finding VAMs!" types coming into the hobby and, yes, some of them were "chased off", but, honestly, I think most of them just realized that VAMs aren't the other end of the rainbow. In other...

WHAT THE HECK AM I LOOKING AT HERE?!?
Okay, so I saw this here 80P online and thought it looked weird. Of course, I thought it looked mostly "PMD" weird, but I couldn't convince myself of that, so I figured I needed a closer look... Big picture, in hand it does in fact look like just a rub... rojowhatzit4.jpg HOWEVER, on closer inspecti...

Welcome Tony.
Have you gone through the "VAMs by date" listings to learn what "VAM-1" typically entails?

So, here's the reasoning behind not posting until you have the coin: A lot of online sellers lurk on VAMworld and, if you find something good they didn't notice, they CAN actually cancel or recall the shipment...
