1902-O VAM1???
So, it has been a long time since I posted,. I hope everyone is well. I have an interesting coin. The coin is a 1902-O and as far as I can tell this would be a closed 9, even though technically under high magnification, it doesn't actually touch. I'm sending pics of the date, the mint mark and an in...

Re: NGC VAM price less than non VAM?? REALLY
DEMETRI you are right in MANY cases to not place too much on VAM values, However, once you start collecting VAMs and learn which ones are true rarities, THEN you will appreciate the values and having some guide for them. The SSDC has a price guide for the Morgan VAMs and it is possible to get that i...

ANA find
So once every 20 years or so, you find something you just can not pass up. That happened at the ANA for me. Brandi, my girlfriend called me over to look at this item and things were set into motion. To cut to the chase, hopefully this will help you understand what it was... JR is going to help me wi...

Re: SSDC question
I don't think we do. I'd like to completely reload my coins from a spreadsheet...We could use that feature as well. Also, The MORGAN prices for coins that are in sets have all been priced, so a price guide for Top100, Hot50, Hit List 40, 8TF, 79sr78, Oval Os, O/CCs,and quite a few others could be pr...

Re: Got this 1963 klaes piece of history today
I think I have a few of these around my house. I bought out a small group that I think turned up from the estate. Not 100% sure. anyway, I hope to put some in the VAM Thing raffle from time to time.

Re: SSDC price guide.
Little update. I should have some input on the 21's that will allow me to put them in for the "big" ones. Once that is in, we will put a group of folks on this to iron out the missing stuff (for I am sure there will be little kinks in there). Should not take too long and we should let the SSDC in to...

SSDC price guide.
VAMWorld folks- I know about half of you will fall out of your chair when I post this, but I finally got the Morgan$ pricing populated in the SSDC Price guide - up to but not including all the 1921 Morgan’s. I need some help with a good number of the 21’s but should have them done very soon. We shou...

Re: Fun and unusual find in the dollar bin at Ashmore RC.
Here's what I've found. There are 2 die pairs that PCGS has put into coins labeled Specimen or Proof Zerbe. Both names are the same. There are not Specimens AND Proofs--they just felt that Specimen was a better name for this strike--and I agree. That makes it no less cool or impressive when it is a ...

Re: Fun and unusual find in the dollar bin at Ashmore RC.
This VAM 1AG Zerbe specimen is an Early Die State with no die cracks and is significantly PL. However, it is a slightly circulated example, which I would grade AU58, but depending on how the grading services grade Specimens, they could call it anything from AU55 to SP61, I'd say.

14.11 PCGS 65 Heritage
So, I don't know who got the bargain.. I liked it at $17000. But the coin and the holder grade don't match IMHO... Seems like a 64 and maybe even a stretch for that.. But that is going by pictures...and again, someone may have hit a HOME RUN. For a little over $20K that is by far the best price on a...

Re: 1880 P 1A series
I would do it like this: VAM 1A EDS - No crack VAM 1A1 - Crack, but not into the hair and the knob has only a crack and no displacement. VAM 1A2- Crack into the hair, knob is on top of the 8, but does not have to be the terminal state. Counts as VAM 1A at PCGS. Coin brings reduced value. VAM 1A2 LDS...
