Re: 1885 O VAM 24
Here were the PUPs I used to determine the VAM. I had to look up machine doubling and it makes me enjoy this coin more now that it may be the only one! The berry is a result of that doubling I used the arrow in this picture to where it looks like a hidden (extra) berry to me but it could be overenth...

1885 O VAM 24
I got this VAM 24 and looked it over. The reverse has a cool triple MM and, hidden berry from the doubling 2nd batch left side, and some of the best tripling I've seen since collecting Morgans (which hasnt been too long lol) and just wanted to share!

1878 8TF
Having a hard time with this one. I'm not sure what is going on with the eye, kinda of a spike but not sure. There is a field die break and displacement O of OF, reverse letters, die scratches in N of UNITED, die scratch eagle right wing, obverse and reverse clashing but I don't see letter transfer,...

Re: 1887 VAM 27?
I see it now, I was going with the date placement link and I thought when I looked at VAM 1 that the date was further away so I was looking at far dates. Thank you!

1887 VAM 27?
I have been racing my brain on this coin...it has all the hallmarks of a VAM 27 I feel with the date placement. It also has a couple of curious things that I have observed. Input please!

1885 P Cracks or Breaks?
Looking over this 1885 P it has alot of die cracks or die breaks. Which one would these qualify under? The crack/break through the P in Pluribus goes through thr crown, cap and into the field rlbehingld the cap. The one through the 1 goes through the hair. Also it's a far date but I can't place the ...

1887 VAM 4A clashed n
I was looking over what I believe is the 4A, file marks included and I noticed a clashed n but not in description. I can see the spike in left serif like EDS suggests and file marks on the reverse through UNITED and the star. Was just seeing if it is a clashed n (if so is it known) and if this is an...

1878 VAM 114A Questions
I picked up this 114A but a couple of questions. The nostril seems more polished than the examples and are the cotton balls, Liberty, and atleast 2nd left star tripled? Also the U in United is that PMD or just a bad strike? Would this be a later strike for this Vam? Thanks in advance for the help!

1884 VAM 1C variant?
I picked up this clashed coin and it has most of the hallmarks of a VAM 1C but the end star left has a die break (or 2), the profile isn't quite as doubled (inside of ear is doubled) as well as, a large scratch by cotton balls and some other small variances. Is it a 1C or possibly EDS of a 1C or a d...
