Calendars are in and ready to ship.

The pictures make the coloring look like a fake, but stuff like the date and mint mark look OK. What's it grade? Does PCGS have a photo?

Can you return it if you don't like it? A real coin bought cheap because of problems will end up being sold cheap because of them later.

Those tell me that I should check the date and mint mark first.

So one of the questions this begs is what causes a clash. Not the simple "no planchet between the dies" answer, but more of a root cause analysis. I have received all the coins in question. Will probably eliminate VAM 1BR and re-specify 13, 13A, and 13B.

Larry Briggs sold SEGS and is no longer involved with the company as far as I know. CACG's grading fees are in line with PCGS and NGC.

They're quite common for those dates. Cracked planchets can also be a result of a vein of impurities in the strip. Depending on size and how they're oriented within the strip they can manifest as laminations, cracked planchets, clamshells, or blowholes.

It's too minor to warrant revising the listing to include it. Die chips on the rim are usually not noticed or ignored until they start encroaching on the denticles. Being on the rim, they're also susceptible to being worn away on AU coins.

What kind of shape are the reeds in? If the coin suffered a rim deformation, you might see it there. Hard to make the call on this being a cud, this coin being in a rather advanced state of decrepitude, although I can see what the seller wants to call a cud. While it's too bad you can't average the 43 and 45 into a 44, they're both decent varieties.

I noticed this morning that VAM 1E is now VAM 30A, I tried to change them to VAM 30A but there isn't a listing for VAM 30A only VAM 30. Can someone correct this please. Thanks, Mike That was fast.
