Always the best for info and history. Super nice for a super guy.

If you sent them in all as a bunch, could they reholder the set in sequential order and some special note of your accomplishment?

Good to inform and great learning experience that many of us have gone through.

Re: 1st strike question

@SilverToken It looks to me like they have 2 business strike" copies" scheduled July 13th , 2 proof strike" copies" scheduled AUG 9 and possibility 2 reverse proofs scheduled for the fall of 2023 . All I could find was S and P mints however ..... https://catalog.usmint.gov/coins/coin-programs/morga...

Re: 1st strike question

Really confused on Ebay...

There are listings for CC, D and O 2023 Morgans (pre-order, First stike, Early Release, etc.), yet the mint only is offering P & S.

Are these bogus or am I missing something?

Re: 1st strike question

I really hate the fact about the "unopened".. when all the big dealers end up with 70's and yours magically comes back as a 67.... no explanation... and you couldn't crack the box. Remember to request the packaging back, it is not automatic.

Re: 8 Tail Feather Reverse Images

Thanks for the images. I am trying to focus in on the little feathers that are near the wing base and the legs, where the famous "comma" feather is. I am finding that these feathers evolved differently in the VAMS and it helps to at least pin down which stage of reverse die was being used. There is...

Truly Excellent.

The mind bends at the work to create this, as well as all of the stories made and bought by those super circulated dollars.

How many years did it take to create the set, as a guess?

Re: 1897 unk mm The Silver Dollar Man encased. Anyone recognize these polish lines?

Cotton gouges appear off, date seems lower on 4 & 14, but that may be refracting through lucite. I'm gonna kindly say it doesn't match. Sometimes I set it down for a week and let my Eyes and brain focus again. Are rims different between mints? I'm noticing that edge by luck and if they are that woul...

Re: 98-S Vam 11?

Looks like a near (and slightly slanted) date without a severe tilt to the mint mark (ruling out the VAM-10) so the only other option would be the VAM-11 based on descriptions. Without proper pictures on the webpage it'll be difficult to nail down but I'd say you're most likely right. Thank You for...

98-S Vam 11?

As there isn't many 98-S Vams to go through, I think this fits LVA's Vam 11... slanted near date, upright mm. Alas, no pic's This coin has a tremendous amount of notable cracks that I don't find mentioned on other 98-S. Obverse- Hair V, Field though hair beneath hair V, U though Cap, Hair though Lib...

Re: 1882-P Vam 14 or 31?

Thanks for your response. The re-posting of your VAM-14 does exist was helpful, I need to get my Discussion Forum searching skills dialed in. The reverse matches the tail gouges as well as the bump in the field by the left talon to a tee. Furthermore, there is no gouge in the eagle neck gap as pictu...

1882-P Vam 14 or 31?

The recent 82-P VAM 20 string spurred me to re-examine my meager 82's and this lost child popped up. I noticed that it had the hair curl gouge which lead me to the VAM 14 which states "MAY NOT EXIST". I then went to the VAM 31 and I believe the cotton gouge and the "1" gouge differ. On the reverse t...
