Re: No 2022 Morgan or Peace Dollars
The obvious issue is not the U.S Mint having sufficient silver planchets for the Peace & Morgan Programs....moreover it is placing cupcakes like Ms. Ventris C. Gibson in charge of the U.S Mint so her personal and UNWANTED coin programs like Negro League & Black Women on quarters can take a forced pr...

Re: 2022 Proof Morgan's and Peace Dollars
I received a survey today from the US Mint in reference to potential new offerings of the Peace & Morgan Dollars for 2022. They added a S Mint Peace & a 2022 2pc Reverse Proof Peace & Morgan Set for $195, if offered, I'd get the 2022-P&S Peace & the Reverse Proof Set. Here is the link for the survey...

Re: my 2021 boxes are still unopened
At least you got something. My order still states "processing". When I click on the order, nothing happens. Same here, Wednesday I got an email stating a cancellation of the 2 Peace Dollars ordered. Stated I should call U.S Mint C/S. Thursday, ended up making 22 calls, using different automated que...

Re: OT - Dan Carr Set Almost Done
Carr makes some of his pieces look circulated. I have one of his Standing Liberty Quarter tokens in a VF30 holder. The apparent grade is consistent with what the actual would look like . If you wanted to make a technical argument, you could, but technical grading died back in the 80's Agreed. I als...

Re: OT - Dan Carr Set Almost Done
Among the esoteric sets I have been assembling is a complete set of Dan Carr products where they are overstrikes on large format US dollar coins or employ the design elements of them. I am down to missing only a handful out of over 100 different ones. Here is the latest ANACS grading. Very happy ab...

Saving problem coins is, in my opinion, a rookie mistake. I would politely return it with the understanding that a vendor, with so many sales, may have been unaware of the problem. Just my... v.jpg Excellent advice, allow them to show integrity...Most usually do, if they don't, start a SNAD. Also a...

American Eagle 2021 One Ounce Silver Reverse Proof Two-Coin Set Designer Edition
Did anyone else here get the new American Eagle 2021 One Ounce Silver Reverse Proof Two-Coin Set Designer Edition? After many attempts to get past the U.S Mints website fiasco <once again> at the noon launch... I gave up. Fed up, I went and ate lunch, when I returned about 90 minutes later, just for...

Re: Date on PCI Slab?
That one is early 90s. Their grading was good then. Double-check the attribution, though. While VAM 1A was known then, not much else about 1921-D was. I always liked the 90's era PCI slabs. When J.T Stanton joined them, they were quite good at both attribution & accurate in their grading. I would b...

Re: Do you think you have a Doubled Die?
So my question is this. Are not both Machine and Die doubling both errors? Neither should appear on the coin correct? Die fatigue in the case of double ears is a case in point. Not all are doubled, some are die fatigue. As some have mentioned they probably should not have been listed. So why is one...

Re: OT: Upheaval in the card world
We in the coin universe might be interested to know about the mayhem that has been going on lately in the sports and trading card world – specifically at PSA, the card grading brother of PCGS. It is something to keep in mind whenever we think the cost of grading our coins is too high. In 2020, Covi...

Re: 2021 Peace Dollars
I think I must have been at the front of the line. I only ordered 2 and it looks like many that ordered 3 had minimal luck. I wonder if their "new" system didn't handle orders of either 1, 2 or 3 individually. My order was in on 12:01pm, I did clear my computer, logged in & out, then restarted it ab...

Re: Do you think you have a Doubled Die?
These tokens were produced using hand cut dies, so they aren't truly doubled dies. I don't see any strike doubling and it certain;y isn't double struck. It has some recut letters on the reverse. These are present on all examples of Reverse E Great Analysis - Not a DDR as dies were hand cut, not str...
