VAMWorld 2.0

Took me a moment to sort out this riddle, but I narrowed it to vam 14.2 EDS. I ruled out 14.2A and B since I didn't see the feeder finger gouges. It does not appear to have that die scratch at LI of Liberty though.

And one more of my lowballs, a FR-2 1922-S Peace dollar. (The mintmark is barely visible...)

This is not a Morgan/Peace dollar, but was a shocker lowball of a SBA dollar, probably a 1979.

I've had this one for a few months and it is my first 8tf and trying to pin down a vam number and the lower grade doesn't help. I just picked up a really gorgeous 1921 vam-39A in mint state (my second dotted 21!) When I glanced at the F in OF on the reverse, the bottom of the letter has the die marker jut-out typical of the vam-3's. I don't think it's cleaned when rolled around in the light; it's really reflective (prooflike) in protected areas, and I know many of these marks are most likely bagmarks. Actually, there is no ear fill/doubling noticable that I could see, so could this be another contemporary counterfeit yet undiscovered?

Now there are many little things going on here that made it not-pin-able to any known vam yet... The obverse date is slanted with the 9 higher than the 1 (the 9 is open with doubling at the opening), and the first 8 has a die chip in the right vee.
