Re: 'Acidic' collection
Lol, great timing. I picked a 1879-S V45 off an auction site last week, and it came in this afternoon.

Re: 1878 VAM 41C MS 65 The Bearded Lady
Nice! I love the bearded ladies. The clash detail on these just jumps out and grabs you
Is this in an NGC holder? I've picked 3 or 4 of these over the years, and strangely they were ALL NGC slabbed. One of them was even listed as 7TF. God bless their hearts.

Re: 1878-S VAM-72
Sigh. I have a similar affliction. I just got a "cheap' LN on Ebay, to keep my PCI 20 V27 and PCI 15 V57 company.
It isn't details, but it has been around the block several times. Pretty sure it is a V 58.

Great, great pick, and a beautiful coin.
I can't believe the dealer didn't see the tripple leaves and boles, when he took his final look. They just scream "look at me".

Pickin' and grinnin', verse 1
You can still find some nifty picks on Ebay, if you can tear yourself away from the vast array of massively over priced "Extremely Rare VAM"s which aren't . It reminds me of the line in the Princess Bride movie. "I don't think that means what you think it means".

Re: Morgan Grading Question
1883-O is an excellent example. They are typically God awful strikes. I'm with John on this. Market grading is BS, but they do it. This is my 1883-O VAM 22A. It is PCGS MS63. I can live with the grade, thought I have plenty of PCGS MS64 coins in other years that aren't any nicer than this one. Howev...

Cool. I have at least 35-40 more Morgans for you to attribute (mostly 1921 scribble scratches). I'll bring them with me.

Re: Tone removing help
I've used Koinsolv. I've had both the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat when breaking out toned coins and dipping them. I've gone up from MS 62 and 63 to MS65 on some relatively expensive Silver Dollars. (That would be the thrill of victory). And I had a 1883-S in a PCGS Holder at MS63. It h...

Re: 20000 in 2020?
That works for me. So what you will be getting is 36 coins in PCGS holders which need your VAMSEAL service, and 0 coins for the bulk submission
. Sorry for the confusion.
Send me an invoice at [e-mail address redacted for security reasons], and I will go ahead and mail your check.

Re: 20000 in 2020?
JB, One VSS attribution is coming your way right now (sort of accidentally) along with 35 coins for the next PCGS bulk submission. I screwed up and sent you a PCGS VAM that PCGS doesn't actually attribute, the 1885 V23A (doh). If you could just VSS attribute that one and hold on to it, I have about ...

Re: 2019 VSS/PCGS Bulk Submission #5 Open
Hi JB,
I'll be mailing 35 PCGS coins for attribution this weekend.
I have 5 -10 NGC coins that I want to try to cross. Can you also do that on the bulk submission ?
Regards,
Steve
