Re: 1904 O V-5 Here it is Late Date Morgan Man
this coin has polishing around the wing on both top and bottom and looks like its a fresh event. In the eagles mouth it has a faint line gouge or scratch, but that on the inside and extends from the eagles tongue.

Re: 1904 O V-5 Here it is Late Date Morgan Man
So it looks like a VAM-6 die 1. But to make sure is this the correct understanding. VAM-6 Die 2 is a the coin with the heavy polishing around the upper and lower section of viewers left wing.

1904 O V-5 Here it is Late Date Morgan Man
Well this coin is what looks to be the long lost VAM-5 "Maybe" It has the correct obverse die in an early die state where 2 defined scratches that are deeper than they look in my images around 1 &9 of the date. This die is said to be shared with the VAM 5 , VAM 6 and VAM 38. The reverse die is not d...

Interesting 1923D W Missing info on the pages David Close Help
I picked this up thinking David has to have this one, its too broken. Well the coin imaged below has a dead bang match to the reverse die break on the VAM 1AE2. The listing states nothing about the Massive breaks on the OBV die. I glanced over the busted die listings and did not see one that matches...

Re: 78-S V72 Long nock PR62 in census?
As it turns out this coin is a double up. The winner of the coin crossed it into PCGS MS-63 PL. I have found a few coins won by members that crossed or where sent in by the winner of an auction coin for attribution that where doubled up in the population. On a rather common VAM its not really a big ...

Re: 78-S V72 Long nock PR62 in census?
I just looked it up, the original ANACS Cert lists this coin as a Long Nock only and it being proof Like only not a proof, nor is the VAM listed. As this coin has no Owner in the SSDC, nor do we have the VAM confirmed, and we also don't know if the coin is still in an ANACS holder as well as it bein...

Re: 1921-S VAM
This coin looks to have been clashed as some time, Try looking at all the clashed die varieties that are listed. It may not have letter transfer now, but in an earlier die state it may have and you can look for other pick up points.

Conformation of 1878 P 8TF 14.2 / 14.2a and / 14.2b
Well when I sent in the progression of the 1878 P 8 TF VAM 14.2 for the designation of the terminal die state and also pointed out the feeder finger gouges thought the O of "OF", and then Leroy created 3 varieties including one that no one has seen I did not like it. Well last night I got home and a...

Re: Opinions Needed group 3#
The 1 * tf is Not 14.16 ITS AN EXTREMLY EARLY DIE STATE OF THE VAM 14.2 a and the feeder finger gouges thought the O of OF are stronger than an acer of garlic.
