It is hard to see from the photo, but it appears that there are die scratches right of E (of WE) which correspond to VAM 11.
Here's a slightly enhanced crop from the original:

Re: Help Attributing a 1928-S

Thank you David!

I too was thinking VAM-11 for a bit...but the die scratches to the right if the E do not correspond exactly to the sample image in the Wiki :/ Is it possible these lines changed over time?

Help Attributing a 1928-S

After spending the last couple hours racking my brain, wandering all the types for this coin, I can't figure out what it is. They are all so similar! At first I thought the S was "medium high", but there are few clear photos of the mint mark location in the wiki, and it doesn't align precisely with ...

Re: "NO TURKEY'S HERE SALE"

No worries! Us "wipper-snappers" forget this is a hobby rooted in reputation and relationships...and eBay has a way of homogenizing the coin buying process. I agree PayPal is the enemy... but like Walmart or Amazon, a virtually unavoidable monster sometimes.

Re: Help Attributing a B1 Reverse 1922 Peace - New Type?

Thanks Jody! I'm new to this, and have a few stacks of Whitman folders to go through...so you'll likely be hearing from me again. Hopefully I'll sponge up enough of this stuff to be useful in paying it forward to somebody else in the future! Anyway, thanks for your response. I realized after reading...

Sure, Someone cut it with a knife or something after it left the mint. PMD or Post Mint Damage
PMD was my first thought too... but if it was cut, where did the raised material come from? There is no corresponding gouge along the protrusions...

Yup, she's a 1O for sure.....not seeing the die break on reverse. Nice find!
Thanks! I'm trying to rely on others as little as possible, but this one just confused me. So is it an 1O or possibly an 1O3?

Re: "NO TURKEY'S HERE SALE"

I certainly don't mean to imply any reason to distrust you (or other members of this forum) in my question, BigJayVee. Please forgive me if you got that impression. I understand those already IN the community have a good understanding of each other, but there are emerging generations of new VAMers w...

I am a repeat customer if his. I have had no problems. This is the only other way I know of to be kinds safe.. Repeat customer feedback. looks like it was cut. IMO
Could you elaborate? Do you mean the die was "cut"? I apologize for my ignorance!
You can definitely feel the protrusion of the material above the field, with no gouging left behind.

Please "NO PAYPAL" for payment.
How else do two people who don't know each other safely and securely transact the payment over the Internet? To my knowledge, no other money transfer service (SquareCash, ApplePayCash, SnapCash, Venmo, Facebook, etc) provides delivery verified escrow protections.

Pretty sure this is a VAM 1O type (that's an Oh, not zero), but there is no mention of the weird extra material all around the date. There is a VAM 1O2, but it too does not show this extra material... nor do I have the reverse broken wing tip. So, do I have a VAM 1O3? Would a VF-EF coin even be attr...

Help attributing this 1925-S Peace Dollar - Die Crack Through L-I of LIBERTY
