Note the shading just above the 'M' in America. Now see the full reverse photo on the Vam 1D2 page .. they are identical. It's the result of a displaced field from the die crack. I've picked a couple of Vam 1D2's , but never one in this nice of condition. Congrats.

I don't think any of you would have seen this one. I refreshed the page and there it was on top. I saw the mintmark position and hit the BIN. It was probably listed for two minutes. Been looking for this one for about 15 years now. The condition was excellent for this variety.

The BIN was $235. If it grades it will be a home run. Sent it off to PCGS this afternoon.

Lewis, all the PUPS are there .. the gouge at the top of the arrow feathers where it meets the olive branch , plus the double gouges at the top of the eye. I couldn't see these in the EBay photos, but the mintmark placement was spot-on.

I was able to pick this up on EBay by hitting the BIN. It's a Vam 62 for sure. Just would like some expert opinions on grade/condition. Thanks y'all.

I hate being a buzz-kill but that sure looks like a Vam 77, not a 111. Tell-tale diagnostic is the die scratch in the tail-feathers. Vam 77 has the diagonal scratch, Vam 111 is centered, short and horizontal.

Vams 100-133 have the complete 'R' in Trust and a closed 'O'. Vam 132 has the polished nostril and 130C1 has a weak nostril. But the 132 has the broken 4th star.

I'm not seeing a Doubled 'RIB'. All the doubled RIB have a complete 4th right star. Vam 6 has a complete nostril and 22, 77, and 111 have a polished nostril. You can eliminate all of these. Do a sort on the B2 reverse varieties and select broken 4th right star and unbroken 'R' in Trust … narrows it ...
