Re: 1882 VAM 19 issue
I thought the 13 and 19 were duplicates, but found they were different reverse, based on these 2 photos. One of these pics is a rev 13, both pics currently reside on the 19 page.

I see it more like an attempt to reduce "loss" and complaints. Almost like (in 2000 times)Hey, we really don't want to hear about your problem coins and metal loss, like last go round, READ the spec in the LAW and try using a smaller crucible this time. "I will thank you to inform me what size cruci...

Not sure about new sw I do it in the phot editing sw that comes with your apple OS or the iOS app it lets you do transparency by % I like 40-45 then cut and paste it into your standard shot. Googling your question has a ton of results mostly online tools and third party apps For windows; https://ans...

Re: 1888 VAM 39 B but w/out the displaced break
If anyone is actually willing to actually help here
A 15 and 39b would be ideal to send for reference
Sadly, I didn’t even know they struck Morgan’s after 1882

It’s really sad to me that we simply do not speak this way anymore….
Guessing you extrapolated a hand written correspondence, as Americans can’t read cursive anymore…. Well the young and stupid anyway

Re: 1888 VAM 39 B but w/out the displaced break
Yeah our pages don’t reflect that change. So call it a 15 …I guess? Side note You’ll need a 15 and 39 to straighten this out and get “closure” (likely) Crap like this is pretty much in every date. When Leroy (or whoever ;) ) attributes in a vacuum, a mess occurs. I.e. http://www.vamworld.com/forum/v...

Cracks are fairly ordinary evolution of a die. Breaks are listable features. Looks like doubling of the date and or reverse is a good place to start

Thanks all for the input. I understood it as Mitch does. Are the supplements in play (aside Volumes 1&2)? Brent, I would LOVE to help out, sadly it's a permission thing, or something. Not as "open" a forum as Version 1.0 for edits. Also, Things like this irritate me...(who exactly defined this as "D...

Re: any 1886-O experts?
My opinion is LVA likely would have considered the date normal or high :/ maybe a high 6 MM. (likely) centered and upright Check the MPD listing against your secondaries. Doubt your going to find those exact TF scribbles, unless you can see the lower layers by turning it in different lighting ;) Tha...

I wouldn’t panic just yet, wait until you get it in hand.
All I will say right now is looks cleaned/details…
Pics suck so see if you can nail the variety in hand
What’s the seller info look like? Longstanding? How many items sold?
Seller rating etc?

Site maintenance
Since the site has limited folks to edit and based on user confusion of late My question/issue is: Where are the plate shots? I feel like if actual plate shots were at the top (where they are supposed to be) of each listing, it would eliminate a lot of “what VAM do I have” problems. Just curious if ...

I’m going to need 25 more pics of polishing lines with circles and arrows before a determination can be reached

Hmmm is right.
I’m thinking die state duplicate listings, but I’m doing this on a handheld device…
Look for remnants of any V 1AN secondary markets.
Can you get a better shot of the obv neck clash pls
NO arrows or circles. As crisp a shot as you can.
