Re: help with vam 1882p
I'll comment.
There are 2 other listed varieties with the lines in TY and 1 listing that has the eye scratch.
Keep looking Dennis, this listing will clean up some confusion...

Re: 82P NEED some HELP PLZ!!
I only posted this, regarding the listing of D2: Keep looking. Look everywhere, it's listed for something else entirely, listed for the later state of the reverse. It's out of place in the variety it's listed for... What we have here is the Pre-D2 listing...currently VAM 1 or 1C, depending on the da...

I'm not sure I follow?
For me you're s looks weaker, but that could be strike.
You'll need a clearer shot of the T please, or find a 1D2 to compare side by side.

I see it on both LFPC's on the page...I would really hate to see another 1882 1E debacle.

Those file lines are pretty lite.
Agree on date and MM placement, for V9.
Do you see the scratch below the makers mark?

Re: 1879-s Rev of 1878
It's going to be a long uphill attribution based on the condition and lack of detailed pics. I am NO expert on this date....but Focus on the date placement and the deep secondaries. i.e. Inner bow scratches, makers mark and LIBERTY, before you discount the V9... you will need the minutia ("die poop"...

Do you remeber that?

Re: strange reeding
Need more info/detail for a thought on it.
Could be "flow fill" from a weak strike, or x-jewery, if I had to guess.
Can you shoot LFPC's for the "rest of the story", pls.
Thanks for sharing Brent.
