1888-S Possible Vam-12B?
This coin has most of the listed features of a 6B, but there seems to have been a lot of the reverse pitting polished off. There are lots of polish lines around the MM and the pitted areas which makes me believe the coin is a 12B. There aren't any photos of the 12B so I hope others here will give th...

Re: 2021 Morgans Postponed
My experience would say that the normal collector does not load up the phone lines and buy 10 at a time. The dealers may have followed the mint's rules, but if so they may need to revisit the rules. This is the same way ticket scalpers lock out fans from an event and force prices higher. I believe ...

Re: 1883-CC Need Help Attributing
Yeah, they get fainter in later stages. Nothing definitive jumped out in your pictures. It's more about what's not there. No line in the wing, so the VAM 5 series is out. The mintmark position eliminates VAM 4. It also doesn't look quite right for VAM 8 and the diagnostic scratch from the e of we d...

1883-CC Need Help Attributing
I can't seem to but it all together for this coin. The 1st 8 in the date is doubled and has a fairly large die chip at the left where the loops join. There appears to be a die chip at the bottom left of the 1 but could be PMD. The MM is slanted and CC/CC. I don't see any polish line in the left wing...

Re: Guess the grade
Looks to be awesome lustre on this VAM 3AM2. Good luck: NGC obv.jpg NGC rev.jpg If you had found it raw what would your grade have been and what would your reasoning have been? Sort of looks like the grader graded a nice coin and carried it around in their pocket with their keys before putting it i...

Re: 1897O high grade Bunny Coin
Not trying to contradict "The Yokel" who has much more experience than myself, but the date seems more like the Vam 3.
Be interesting to see the full view of both sides of the coin.
As a newer guy here, could you explain the Bunny thing?
