Somehow the dies were damaged much worse on the reverse than the obverse. The radial orientation usually is caused by contact with fee...

Re: OT - Feed Finger Gouges Or ?
Wild! Looks way too strong for feeder fingers. Is the stuff that appears to be to the right and below In God We Trust directly opposite the affected area on the reverse? Yes ,and more above Y. . More stuff on obverse between L and I that is also weak. Rim is not involved. The better grade example o...

OT - Feed Finger Gouges Or ?
Striking errors seldom show up on Walking Liberty Half Dollars. Quality control on the entire Walker mintage was exemplary. I simply label this as major die gouges. What would you call it?
This error is not unique since I found two of them with same date and gouges.

1923 s Unlisted Radial Die Break
Unable to find match for this 1923 s Peace $. Reverse shows radial die break from rim up through left side of C (PEACE) which continues through rock zig zagging toward far right claw. Long unabraded clash spike from eagle's shoulder similar to VAM 1AG but longer and even more closely doubled. Clash ...

1921 P Morgan VAM 3A1B/3A1C
I have a 1921 P VAM 3A1B with die gouge from tail feathers. The die scratch from left wreath to left star is weak and incomplete. There is pitting from first A (AMERICA) towards the rim. Coin is AU 58 White. Would you still call it VAM 3A1C ?
