Recently graded ANACS 1923 $ VAM 1AE MS 62 originally attributed VAM 1AE2 DC by LVA shows very little if any die gouges below GOD. This example will be submitted to Dr. Close sometime this year for re-evaluation. Perhaps this LDS will help determine listable stage for Tom Petrosie also.

Congrats Tom on Genuine Trade Dollar confirmation and ANACS grades ! Sometimes planchet cracks combined with incomplete planchet clip translate into a Ragged Planchet Clip. Grading services may assign generalized error term descriptions instead of a more accurate and valuable specific error type.
