Hi, tried to send a PM but still in my outbox so I did something wrong.
Please look at the Suggested changes list at the end of my original series of posts and work with what you can.

Re: 1880-S VAM-7 Update comments, descriptions, move incorrect reverse pictures to VAM-7A page, add pics of earlier obve
Hi keilg1 thanks for the feedback. My bad, I missed the messydesk posting of Aug 6, 2022 that stated “Former 7A is 122. Since it’s not related to VAM 7.” However, there are still problems with the pages, and maybe the premise that the -7A is not related to the -7. Also the VAM-122 has not been poste...

Re: 1880-S VAM-7 Update comments, descriptions, move incorrect reverse pictures to VAM-7A page, add pics of earlier obve
The reverse of my coin is close to the -7 page description but that is a little off: “ Reverse C3d – IV S mint mark tilted left with partially filled lower loop and slightly doubled at lower left inside of both loops.” The lower left inside is vague and could refer to VAM-7A. The MM picture below sh...

1880-S VAM-7 Update comments, descriptions, move incorrect reverse pictures to VAM-7A page, add pictures of earlier die state obverse, please I picked up an NGC MS 62 PL 1880-S because of the strong date doubling and was able to attribute it as earlier die stage VAM-7 “Doubled Date, S/S Left inside”...

Looks like a beat up die edge to me. In the die so not PMD. But nothing special as happens a lot.

1900-S VAM-27 LDS Crowned 1, Devil’s Horns 9, add pictures, fix Comment 2 please
One of the interesting aspects of many VAMs is their late die stages. The obverse of 1900-S VAM-27 and its predecessor VAM-29 are two of several that year with notable die breaks at the date making them easily recognizable. The later die state of Vam-27 has a crown on the 1 and devil’s horns on the ...

Re: Interesting 1879-P
Discoloration appears to be a stain. The thin lines are die polishing marks that are seen in many Morgans.

Re: Pretty Common 1880-S V 12.2?
Sorry, didn't mean to veto V12.2 as I should have added that the page description is too vague and technically wrong. I cropped the FCP from the page and the S is also set low like yours, but the top serif looks a little different. But might just be my eyes. Does your coin have other matching attrib...

Re: Pretty Common 1880-S V 12.2?
V-12.2 page states "Reverse C3a –(medium) IV S mint mark at normal height with partially filled loops." but the lines show it being set low from your picture. Not tilted.

Re: Help- 1880-S Doubled date, medium S centered and upright, slightly high Multiple lettering. Clashed die with letters
Thanks for the guidance and encouragement ljs123 and keilg1 . Of course the holy grail of a clash has to be a letter transfer, otherwise no listing for the clash. I am sure I can see faint lines in the Hair Vee that aren't metal flow so I kept looking at the neck. The 1880-P VAM-32A that you posted ...

Re: Help- 1880-S Doubled date, medium S centered and upright, slightly high Multiple lettering. Clashed die with letters
Yes, I commented that the clash did not look like the full n should show, but there are too many straight lines at angles in the blob for it to be anything else. Tried to fit the whole I there and part of the n but that didn't work. If I can get my Photoshop loaded (new PC but no CD port and online ...

Not a VAM-29 Reverse as lines at bow, wing gap and leg wing gap do not match that die set.

Re: Help- 1880-S Doubled date, medium S centered and upright, slightly high Multiple lettering. Clashed die with letters
Lee, thanks for question as I had to look harder at this one before my post and should have explained it better. But, like Thror’s map some letters can only be seen under a crescent moon. Since there is a sharp edged clash I looked for that tic mark from the n under all possible angles with my littl...
