Re: Selling Vams - Heritage Dec. 3rd 1878-1885
The VAM prices have collapsed, nobody wants this stuff anymore, you'll be lucky just to cover your grading fees.

Re: 1878s VAM-72
It appears that GreatCollections will keep the coin up for sale, and so perhaps this thread should get moved to the For Sale section.

Re: 1878s VAM-72
PCGS are the folks that have the grading sets, including the 1878s Long Nock grading set, they should be the people who know the importance of attributing the coins that are to be included in their esteemed sets. The coin came to them in a VAM-72 ANACS holder, it is simply utter incompetence that th...

Re: 1878s VAM-72
Yes, I requested that GreatCollections pull the coin from the sale and resend it to PCGS for proper attribution. Few people want an ANACS graded "set" coin, as they are trying to complete PCGS sets, and so I requested and now re-requested that Great Collections gets this "key set" coin properly attr...

1878s VAM-72
Ouch, sent my 1878s VAM-72 ANACS graded coin coin to Great Collections for sale, requested they send it to PCGS for grading and attribution, as it will never achieve a decent price while in an ANACS holder. So Great Collections listed the coin today in a PCGS holder WITHOUT attribution, not even ide...

Re: 1878s VAM-77
Just showing off my new 1878s VAM-77, arrived yesterday. Trying to unite the VAM-77's and get them placed into a single box, where I would continue to care for them.

San Francisco Long Nocks 26 27 56 57 58 59 60 62 72
San Francisco Long Nocks 26 27 56 57 58 59 60 62 72 See that the San Francisco Long Nocks include both 26 (17th non-prime) and 59 (the 17th prime), while 58 is a combination of the first 7 primes up to 17. The remaining six (27 56 57 60 62 72) add together for 334, or twice the 167 verses of Bible B...

Trading
In the buy, sell, trade section one must set a price. Could we not also allow trading to occur where people offer a single graded Morgan (or Peace dollar) in trade for the one graded coin being offered? I think this program would be more manageable and far more interesting if people were only allowe...

Re: 1878s VAM-36..Dragon Scales
First they went and broke the 4th right star, then they broke the R, then in frustration they started scratching them and dunking them in acid.

The 4th right star is broken and the R in Trust is broken as well, so why bother with it?

Re: Bought It Now
The coin was up for quite a while before I bought it, perhaps because it is in an ANACS holder. Or since the guy did not ship to Canada, Americans boycotted the sale and boycotted the seller, as they were in solidarity with the poor people of Canada who desire to participate in the hobby, and who ar...

Re: New Shipping Regulations Prevents Canadian Commerce
Even before these new regulations, many eBay sellers still never shipped to Canada because it would involve filling out a simple form. In Africa there was (and continues) the "Segmentary Lineage System" where two adjoining groups of people would forget their problems and unite together against a gre...

Re: New Shipping Regulations Prevents Canadian Commerce
I can still participate in some American eBay auctions, I can still receive some shipments of coins from America, the issue is not so much eBay or USPS or UPS or FedEx regulations, the issue instead is the American sellers who chose not to allow Canadians to participate in their eBay auctions, the i...
