The point is that there are still good coins out there, even if it requires patience & diligence to find them I have recently seen 2 unattributed 1922 VAM 2E2's recently on internet auctions, of which I got one.

From the photos posted, I don't recognize it. It could be an EDS VAM 1U (prev listed as VAM 1V before the latter was eliminated as the EDS). There are quite a few pitted die varieties in Peace dollars (esp 1924!), I am not inclined to give a new listing unless it is easily differentiated from others...

This is unlisted. The obverse has a nice clash mark behind the neck, but at some point after the clash it was clearly pained with a second reverse die. VAM 1F is the business strike from the Matte Proof die pair. The easiest die marker is an oblique die scratch above E of ONE parallel to the ray.

I looked at several of my 1921 Peace dollars, they all have these lines to a greater or lesser degree, so it appears that they are in the hub or the master die.
