First of all, Welcome Aboard! In attributing your coin - the easiest marker appears to be the overpolished area between the headband with separation of the 2 most leftward rays. There are several 1926S VAMs with "shortened obverse rays"; the mintmark appears to be in a somewhat low position, so that...

What I see on the obverse appears to be machine doubling. What is on the reverse appears to be a long die crack, but it does not appear to have any displacement. I don't recognize it as a listed VAM, & Leroy usually does not list die a crack w/o some displacement.

Could be VAM 1Ci. The photos are in the VAM updated, but there is no clear die marker other than the die wear/rust spots, and late die state of many dies have this feature with a similar pattern.

As I posted on another thread, the VAM 1E reverse was paired with 2 obverse dies. This is the 2nd obverse.
