The crack transgression to a break happened slowly. Plenty of Vam 11’s out there with the crack but much less with a true field break.

I would say it’s a Vam 11 but it’s hard to say for sure just from the photo. Looks like a crack more than a break.

Leroy has the 11 at an R4 and the 11A at an R6 on the rarity scale. The 11A is without question more rare than the 11. The first TED crack is visible around the clash event of vam 11 but does not qualify for a break until VLDS. I think R6 is appropriate on rarity.

I’m in the Vam 11 camp. Early Vam 11’s don’t have the crack through the wing.

Nice find! Vam 29 is a tough one for sure. Agree the break happened early. I did find a nicer example of a 29 quite a few years ago that was right on the cusp of a 29A, crack not break. XF45 I believe and I released back her into the wild a few years back. I’ll see if I can drum up the Leroy letter ...

Vam 7 does not have the die chip on the 9. Looks like an error to me.

Any PUP’s on the reverse worth noting? Hard to tell from the photos but looks like a possible raised dot above the A in America?

There is only 1 other 1900-O with a high left MM. There is a particular die crack on that variety I’m not seeing. No clash. Vam 15 is a safe bet.

What are the vam’s associated with the 3?
