I’m not Steve, but I did consider buying the collection when Mark was offering. Knowing what the selling price was, I expected he was hoping for a little more. As Dennis pointed out, a lot of those DCs went for $80-100 which I would consider a good deal with that provenance.

JB is correct except he didn’t sell his collection to Micheal Fey, but to someone else like me on this site who had an interest in clashed dies. I did consider at the time, but had 2 kids in college.

I do believe he sold the the rights to his book to Micheal Fey, but not much has come from that.

Alan, I remember your passion for that ANACS lanyard and the parties involved in the pursuit of one. BTW, I have an ANACS lanyard from years past. So you are telling me it’s a collectible now?

Thanks Lee for posting the pics, as I’m not good with IT. If any coin ever had a chance of a clashed E this one certainly did. Must not be there as the DC was MS and certainly could of been seen.

This coin needs to be added to the clashed G SSDC set.

I found one in a junk box today in F-VF and thought I had found a new clashed G until Lee(ljs) rained on my parade. One of the coolest clashed coins next to the 1891-O VAM 14A

1900-O VAM 31C. Most strongly clashed G of any VAM and super rare.

It is a nice original coin. Let me know what it grades.

Yes I still have the coin and it is “seared” in an ANACS holder. It’s one of those coins I’ll always keep for the memories

Bump as coin is ending Sun. Looks nicer than PCGS 55 that sold in July at GC.

The timeline is correct. The provenance makes that coin special. Even though Lee is the “King” of clash now, Mark K was/is the true King.

Below is the link for the above VAM . Lee has the top pop, but this coin comes in second. It is tough to find this Super CD in this condition.
