I noticed that PCGS added a few more varieties to their population reports so decided to send mine in for trueview and attributing. 41B seems to be more common. The unlashed 41s I've seen have been PL or nearly PL. Of course both seem scarce in grades over 64.

I've had a crossover go to encapsulation and did not grade..

The PCGS guide value is pretty hilarious. I recently noticed they attributed a VAM-196 so sent in my MS65+ for Trueview pics and attributing.

I don't believe a VAM-196 or 196A has much if any premium over common.

Wanted to reply to my last post since I'm not the best communicator at times. I very much appreciate the work of everyone involved with the registry. Every time I have mentioned an issue it has been quickly addressed.

It's difficult to complete in the registry. There are many tabulation errors and head scratching scores. I did pick up the 1878 R79 NGC AU50 in this auction. It happens to be a VAM-228.4 and the final coin to complete my C reverse set.

My most exciting pick is 1878 VAM-221A in a PCGS MS62 holder.
