Sometimes NGC is beset with a myriad of issues! At least they got the date correct. ;)
Not just NGC.

Re: 1878-S VAM-77

I am a member of NGC. I wonder if it would be worth it to go with PCGS just for this one coin? An easy and the least expensive way to get a coin graded by PCGS is to send the coin to JB messydesk to include in his group submission. He will include his VSS attribution label. But it will not have the...

Re: Not secure !!!!

When I am using my iPhone, it always says "Not Secure" at the top.

When I am using my computer it does not.
Except when I am on this thread. When I am on this thread it shows the title of this thread.

Can you post a full date location close up?
Also obverse and reverse LFCPs would be nice.
Thank you

Re: A shout-out to VSS

Heritage has recognized VSS stickers for years.
Several years ago I purchased an 1878-P
VAM-41C in MS-65 from Heritage with JB’s sticker.
Too bad Great Collections doesn’t recognize
the added value of the VSS professional attribution.

Could we see reverse photos?
I'm no 02-O expert, but it looks like a near date to me.

Re: 1888-O VAM 1D.. Who is the page "author" ?...

Chris,
That’s a pretty coin.
As for the VAM, I agree with JB, I’m not feeling it.
I’ve seen a few unattributed for sell, but have always passed. There are lots of other interesting 88-Os.
But yours is a nice one for someone that wants one.

If it was a hit it would have had to be a strong and very concentrated one. And if it is a hit, where did the moved metal from that part of the 8 go?
Where did the metal go?

Re: Question about 1901-O

HI, can someone confirm or correct that this is a near, slanted date and a high tilted right MM. The margins are so slight and I am nowhere near experienced enough to be sure. Also, and this is probably an erroneous assumption on my part, but if there are no other markers does the MM placement alon...
